TL;DR: You've set up EduSuite OS ā now what? Follow this day-by-day checklist to make your first week smooth and productive. By Friday, your school will be fully operational.
Day 1: Foundation
ā 1. Verify Your Student Data
- Go to Students ā All Students.
- Spot-check 10-15 random student profiles.
- Verify: names, classes, parent contacts, admission numbers.
- Fix any errors now ā it's easier with a fresh database.
ā 2. Verify Your Staff Data
- Go to Staff ā All Staff.
- Confirm teacher-to-class assignments are correct.
- Ensure all teachers have valid email addresses.
- Check that non-teaching staff have appropriate roles.
Day 2: Core Operations
ā 3. Take Your First Attendance
- Ask one teacher to mark attendance for their class.
- Go to Attendance ā Today's Log and verify it appears.
- Confirm the dashboard updates with the attendance count.
- If using QR codes, test the QR attendance flow.
ā 4. Send Your First Announcement
- Go to Communication ā Announcements.
- Create a test announcement: "Welcome to our new digital platform!"
- Send it to one class first.
- Verify it appears in the parent portal.
Day 3: Finance
ā 5. Verify Fee Structures
- Go to Finance ā Fee Structure.
- Confirm fee heads and amounts are correct for each class.
- Check that due dates align with your academic calendar.
- Test: Generate a fee receipt for one student.
ā 6. Test Online Payment (if enabled)
- Make a test payment of ā¹1 / $1 using the payment gateway.
- Verify the receipt generates automatically.
- Check that the payment appears in Finance ā Transactions.
- Refund the test payment.
Day 4: Team Training
ā 7. Train Your Teachers (30 min session)
Run a quick training session covering:
- How to log in and navigate the dashboard
- How to mark attendance (2 min demo)
- How to create and assign homework
- How to message parents
- How to view their class timetable
Pro Tip: Record the session so absent teachers can watch later.
ā 8. Train Your Office Staff (30 min session)
Cover:
- Fee collection workflow
- Student enrollment process
- Generating receipts and certificates
- Handling parent inquiries
Day 5: Go Live
